Our own Saskatoon office is the result of an adaptive reuse of an old industrial warehouse into a dynamic and playful new office space that is open and encourages collaboration through teaming spaces. The project provided us with an exciting opportunity to incorporate sustainable design into our office space and to explore new, more effective ways of working together in a healthier, more open environment. Particular attention was given to bringing a considerable amount of daylight into the design studio where everyone works. The single massive ‘living room’ window across the north face of the building brings in the soft north light and provides a view out for everyone. The open concept studio space encourages for increased interconnectivity among all levels of staff. The office building has attained LEED Silver Certification.
