Bayer CropScience
Aberdeen, Saskatchewan

Bayer CropScience has developed a growing biotechnical breeding complex on the northeast edge of Saskatoon that combines administrative functions, laboratory and greenhouse functions with equipment maintenance areas, containment and conventional phytrotron areas and field operations. Our partnership with Bayer CropScience began in 1997 and continued over the next ten years as new phases were envisioned and developed. aodbt worked in collaboration with Bayer CropScience through design and construction over three phases to complete today’s facility that is just over 45,000 square feet. The facility is designed using simple building forms and materials reminiscent of those used on the Saskatchewan farms. The building’s form and mass portrays a modern image to reflect the high tech nature of the work Bayer CropScience undertakes.
