Located in the heart of Melfort, Kerry Vickar Centre provides the city with a contemporary facility to host a variety of community events including concerts, recitals, festivals, tournaments, weddings, and tradeshows. aodbt worked closely with the community through the planning and design process to ensure the design of the facility meet the needs of stakeholders, offer the flexibility of a modern community centre, and bring value to the City of Melfort. The facility houses an art gallery, multi-purpose rooms, a Performing Arts Theatre, a gymnasium, athletic facilities, and a large central gathering space. The exterior of the building welcomes visitors with a community BBQ patio and an outdoor stage. The building also incorporated a number of sustainable design components.
