Lakeland Vision Institute

The design of Lakeland Vision Institute was inspired by the beauty of the lake region of the north. Design efforts focused on creating a professional, modern medical office space while offering an inviting and comfortable environment for staff, physicians, and patients. Rich earth tone colours and natural textures invoke images of the forest, water, and rocks drawing from the local landscape and translated into an interior finish materials palette. The two-story lobby and public reception area with its clerestory windows and abundant natural light forms a dramatic entrance to the space. To balance the large open entrance space, the designers created a large reception desk with hanging bulkhead feature and custom artwork to create a sense of intimacy.
