Northwest Community Lodge

Saskatchewan Health Authority
Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan

The new Northwest Community Lodge is a 72-bed, up to Level 4 care facility that is also home to an Adult Day Program for approximately 12-15 clients. Originally designed in 2009, the updated plan is organized into six ‘cottages’ of 12 resident rooms and support spaces. Two cottages are paired back to back to optimize shared support spaces for operational efficiencies while still providing a dedicated kitchen, dining, family/living room, tub/spa and nurse support station for each cottage.

Recognizing the diversity of clients from the Meadow Lake region, the redesigned core area also features a round-shaped cultural room and is a focal point near the core rotunda. Secure outdoor amenity space is accessed through each cottage dining and main community room while natural daylight and exterior views have been maximized throughout.
