aodbt was engaged to complete a number of renewal projects at the Royal University Hospital. Project included renovations and upgrades to the Cameco Skywalk, pediatric units, the mall, staff cafeteria, and washrooms. The consolidation of the two pediatric units into one unit, Acute Care Pediatrics, helped to improve patient care, safety, flow, and staff satisfaction. The revitalization of the mall included a new sitting area, a fireplace, new furniture, plants, and better access to natural light. Washrooms and the staff cafeteria were upgraded to be a more accessible and aesthetically pleasing functional space.
