The Clark Roofing Saskatoon Office is a two-storey, 8,945 sq. ft. office building with an 11,259 sq. ft. shop, designed to reflect innovation, sustainability, and the company’s expertise in roofing and construction. The building combines advanced design principles with energy-efficient solutions to create a professional and visually engaging environment that represents Clark Roofing’s brand and core values.
The project serves as a showcase of the company’s expertise and knowledge in the roofing and construction industry. Products supplied by Clark Roofing are implemented consistently throughout the building, with a strong focus on acoustics and energy efficiency. A range of acoustic treatments is integrated throughout the space, including treatments within wall cavities and suspended wood-look baffles and panels at the ceilings. These elements demonstrate creative approaches to improving acoustics and privacy for end users. Energy sensors are installed on both the exterior and interior of the building to monitor thermal heat intake.
The design prioritizes employee well-being and encourages collaboration. This is achieved through the use of individual enclosed offices with full-height glass fronts and extensive interior glazing, visually connecting key spaces such as the staff room, meeting rooms, and fitness room. This supports openness and teamwork. A rooftop patio provides an additional gathering space and features plants and grass supplied by the company.
The interior design reflects Clark Roofing’s values and branding, expressing a strong sense of pride through a palette of dark tones, red branding accents, matte black finishes, and warm wood tones. Celebrating the company’s industrial roots, exposed concrete and open-web joist ceilings are featured throughout the building, complemented by innovative lighting and design elements. A 10-foot moss wall in the staff room introduces a natural element that softens the industrial aesthetic and adds visual interest.
Sustainability and innovation are central to the project’s design. Energy sensors continuously monitor thermal performance, while a wall-monitoring system developed in collaboration with Soprema and SMT Research Ltd. provides real-time data on moisture and heat transfer. Functioning as a “living lab,” the system validates insulation performance, supports predictive maintenance strategies, and generates research-grade data for both industry and academic applications.
The Clark Roofing Saskatoon Office demonstrates modern construction techniques through thoughtful design, advanced energy performance, and the use of sustainable materials, reflecting the company’s commitment to quality, innovation, and responsible building practices.
