The Martensville Recreation Centre (MRC), completed in December 2024, is a cutting-edge recreation facility designed to serve a wide range of user groups and youth sports teams. The spacious, thoughtfully planned layout emphasizes accessibility, comfort, and strong sightlines, creating an enjoyable experience for both participants and spectators of all ages and abilities.

The centre includes a regulation-size ice arena, a mini practice ice surface, a 62,000-square-foot indoor turf fieldhouse for soccer, batting cages and pitching tunnels, a climbing wall, a fully automated indoor golf facility, an indoor playground, and a mini stick play area. Beyond sports amenities, the MRC also offers flexible meeting and multi-purpose rooms, a food and beverage lounge, concession, pro shop, and more than 7,700 square feet of retail and commercial space, establishing it as a year-round hub for recreation and community use.

The development of the MRC was a community-driven initiative, with extensive input from residents and organizations. The design incorporates flexible, multipurpose areas that can serve as leasable space, program areas, or meeting rooms, supporting a wide range of community needs. The project included extensive consultation with surrounding Indigenous communities to consider all potential needs during the design stage, including space for ceremonies, opportunities for local artists to display their work, and areas to exhibit artifacts. It was also important to emphasize that the MRC was being constructed for use by all communities in the area. The site was chosen at a convenient interchange to provide easy access for users from Martensville and the surrounding communities.

The facility is planned to be constructed in multiple phases as funding becomes available:
Phase 1: 900-seat regulation-size ice arena, leisure ice surface, dressing rooms, climbing wall, indoor playground, and spectator lounge.
Phase 2: Second hockey arena with additional dressing rooms and spectator seating.
Phase 3: Indoor artificial turf field, dressing rooms, concession area, and storage spaces.
Phase 4: Third ice arena.
