aodbt has been collaborating with P3Architecture Partnership as part of the SPRA (Strategic Prairie Region Alliance) Joint Venture on SaskPower’s Regina Operations and Maintenance Complex Project. This development, located at the Global Transportation Hub in Regina, aims to streamline regional service operations, warehousing functions, and support spaces into one centralized location, leading to cost savings and improved operational efficiency. The project encompasses various components, including commercial office space, workshops, garages, warehouses, storage areas, and a vast exterior storage yard spanning over 85 acres. These new facilities are intended to replace existing structures that have reached the end of their functional lifespans.

The Regina Operations and Maintenance Complex is designed to adhere to the National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB), achieve a LEED Silver rating, and uphold best practices in safety, accessibility, and environmental design. Additionally, it aligns with corporate capital targets. Phase One of construction, initiated in December 2021, focuses on facilities for Logistics, Fleet Services, Metering Services, and Technology and Security. This phase is slated for completion in early 2024. Phase Two, set to be completed by the end of 2025, will include facilities for Transmission Operations, Distribution Operations, and the Safety Department, further enhancing SaskPower’s capabilities in the region.
